Le Défi Occitan is not a competition, although there are some controls in some points of the trip.The target is finishing the ride having as much fun as possible.Only those who try to do this challenge, in the alone day, it will be registered them the time, which will put in a ranking.
All bikers will take with them all the necessary personal gear to acomplish the activity, as well as a well working bike and tools.
Before starting the ride, all bikers will have to go to Le Défi Occitan in Vielha (c./Arnals 8) to pick up the forfait.
We will give you a roadbook, which you will have to get stamped as you pass the controls along the course. At your departure we will set your odometer to zero, and on your arrival, the number of kilometres you have completed must coincide with the distance in kilometres of the course. This will be the only way of attaining the coveted and exclusive shirt of the Occitan challenge. Your authentic challenge!
The reward does not end here. If you wish, we have prepared a tribute for you in a restaurant in Vielha, with a special menu, where you can celebrate your feat.
The respect to the environment is absolutely priority, the driving during the tour will be respecting the procedure of traffic, remember that you will circulate along two countries, the environment will never get dirty by any means and there will be respected the established procedure, competent or propietary Organisms of the areas of step. Le Défi Occitan is an outdoor activity with some adventure in it. Bad weather, if not exteme, is not a reason to suspend the activity.
